Coronation Street's Stephen Reid suffers another setback next week, amid his ongoing murky money problems since arriving on the ITV soap.
Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) has been seen pestering mum Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) in recent episodes of Coronation Street, as he tries to coerce her into signing the trust fund documents.
Audrey set up the fund after her fall a few weeks ago, deciding to give Stephen control of her money so her grandchildren can’t fight over her cash.
However, her attention has since shifted to the reopening of her salon next week, so when Stephen nags her again about the trust fund, she’s annoyed and later changes her mind, revealing she’s now made an ordinary will, giving the Platts equal shares – except for Stephen.

Next week, Stephen's niece Sarah Barlow tells him that she has arranged a meeting with some potential investors for a new line of clothing.
This is part of Sarah's new-found desire to prove herself in business, fuelled by Stephen, who hopes things are finally going his way – but his wife Gabrielle then makes a surprise appearance on the street.
Gabrielle confronts Stephen for stealing a whopping €200,000 from her company – a secret that the Platts currently know nothing about.
Gabrielle makes it clear that she wants the money back, or she'll be going to the police about Stephen's dodgy dealings.

Coronation Street bosses recently named Stephen's storyline as one to watch as the ITV soap heads towards its autumn storylines.
A Coronation Street press statement teased: “The return of Audrey Roberts' prodigal son Stephen came in the nick of time as her relationship with the rest of her family reached crisis point and resulted in a drunken Audrey being rescued from a nasty accident in the barbers.
“Furious with being treated like a child by Gail and her grandchildren, Audrey decides to put her finances in order with the help of businessman Stephen, much to the horror of the rest of the family.
“But as Audrey continues to struggle with the issues that growing older can bring, has she backed the wrong horse and is Stephen the knight in shining armour she believes?”
