Coronation Street's Stephen Reid could kill again - as the walls close in on his secrets.
Evil Stephen (Todd Boyce) has already murdered Leo Thompkins in a bid to keep his secret, after Leo said he was going to tell all about Stephen's plot to steal money off his mother Audrey. Following Leo's death, Stephen has continued to manipulate his family and the other residents on the Cobbles as he tries to secure the money he stole from his estranged wife Gabrielle.
Next week, Stephen is put on the spot by Gail and Audrey as they try to put pressure on him to invest the £10,000 Sarah needs - as he also gets close to another character - but could they be next on his hit list?
Stephen and Elaine have struck up a bond as of late, after she was there when Stephen had his delivery box, work phone and demand money stolen by a group of teenagers. Since then, the pair have seemed quite connected and next week, as Elaine tries to reassure her son Tim that Stephen is nothing like her abusive ex Geoff, Stephen makes a beeline to retrieve his phone.
He had dropped it last time he was there, running out in haste as he took a call from the company Six Fellas as he begged for his job back. Having googled Six Fellas, Gail confronts Stephen about the call - but will his lies be believed?
Sporting an injury, he also lies about that too - as he tells Audrey and Gail that he had one too many, fell on his arm and crashed at a friend's for the night. The walls are clearly closing in on Stephen's true financial status.
Elsewhere, Tim is busy quizzing Stephen on his intentions with his mum Elaine, letting him know how tough it was for his mum with evil Geoff and how he used to control her - insisting he doesn't want that again for her.
The pressure is also mounting for Sarah after her meeting with a potential investor doesn't go to plan. Thrilled by how great her plan is, Gail and Audrey urge Stephen to invest the £10,000 Sarah needs - but what will he do?
Stephen, meanwhile, plays a cruel trick on Elaine in a bid to get closer to her.
He sends an abusive text to his own phone, with it looking like it's from Gabrielle. When Elaine suggests that Gabrielle is gaslighting him, Stephen insists it's only what he deserves, leaving Elaine upset for him given her own history. She tells him that she experienced an abusive partner and insists that she wants to help him the best she can.
