Coronation Street viewers are in for major scenes on the ITV soap next week, as Hope Stape and her family face a worrying storyline on the cobbles.

The youngster has been caught up in a media storm surrounding her late father John Stape, with a book about the killer set to be published.

The drama eventually leads to Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) becoming embroiled in a violent altercation on the cobbles over the late husband of Fiz (Jennie McAlpine).

Meanwhile, pregnant teenager Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) hides the reality of her situation from Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) about her situation.

Elsewhere on the cobbles, the chilling grooming storyline for Max (Paddy Bever) moves on, after the soap announced the teen would be inducted into a far-right gang – leaving him and his family in danger.

John Stape 'returns'

Fiz and Tyrone realise they cannot afford this and have no way of stopping the book from being published.

Her parents are desperate to protect her, and Tyrone sets out to find every book and buy them so that no one else can.

He also takes the large cutout of John and hides it in the garden so that no one, including Hope, sees it.

But this all backfires when Hope comes face-to-face with her killer dad, when she finds the cutout in the shed. How will she react?

Tyrone arrested

Meanwhile, Tyrone finds a leaflet advertising a Q&A session about the book and decides to go to the hotel where the session is taking place.

When he hears the journalist who wrote the book suggesting that Fiz was complicit in John's crimes, Tyrone sees red and climbs on stage to slap the man.

The manager calls the police, and Adam tells Fiz that Tyrone has been arrested for assault.

Fiz begs the journalist not to press charges, and the police let Tyrone go -= but the couple have a blazing row in the aftermath.

Fiz reveals a video of him attacking the journalist has gone viral and the book launch has been brought forward.

Summer hides the truth

Todd Grimshaw ( Gareth Pierce ) visits Billy's flat and is shocked to find that Summer is moving out.

Billy tells him he has been too overbearing, and Todd tells Summer that Billy's upset – but she decides to maintain the ruse that she's no longer pregnant and tells Billy she loves him.

Later in the week, there's chaos when the couple planning to adopt Summer’s baby, Mike (Tom Lorcan) and Esther (Vanessa Hehir), to to see Summer and boyfriend Aaron Sandford (James Craven).

But as Billy arrives at the same time, Summer panics. Will Billy discover her secret plans?

Griff takes the next step with Max

When Max returns to Griff's flat, he's encouraged to watch a film in order to get a ‘proper education’.

Griff then offers Max £200 to promote a talk that he's planning to give at the community centre. Will Max agree to get involved?
