Coronation Street is lining up dramatic scenes next week, as a number of residents face danger - and some could leave the soap for good.
In the fallout to dark scenes involving racist Griff and his extremist group, teenager Max Turner fears for his life.
Scenes result in him and another character considering leaving Weatherfield for good - but they aren't the only ones.
Jacob Hay is forced to make a big decision about his future when evil dad Damon shows his true colours - leading to a brutal attack.
Meanwhile, mystery couple Mike and Esther finally find their lies coming back to haunt them, with poor Summer Spellman facing danger as a result.
Max and David vs Griff
Max Turner will leave his father David Platt in a deadly showdown with evil racist Griff next week.
Max was groomed by Griff and his right wing gang, who targeted Max after he was bullied at school when he lost his place at Weatherfield High.
Next week, after shocking scenes, Max is questioned by police about his involvement in Griff's gang - but he is soon released without charge. Meanwhile, David is left shocked when his mum Gail decides not to support Max and things get worse when the teenager comes face to face with Griff.
Horrified, Max and Griff face off after the police grilling and Daryan tells David that he had tried to speak to Max but he could hear him arguing with a man inside the house. Panicked, David rushes to the house to find out what's happened.
A fight breaks out in the house between Griff and David - but are Max and David in danger?
Damon turns on Jacob
Coronation Street finally airs the moment Damon Hay's true colours and true intentions for Weatherfield are revealed.
The real Damon is unmasked in scenes to air on the ITV soap next week, after weeks of him claiming to have turned his life around.
At The Bistro, amid him putting pressure on Nick Tilsley over some money, Damon introduces his partner Leanne to Dan, a fruit and veg supplier, and tells her he can do her a far better deal.
But Jacob’s left suspicious, when Damon tells him that Dan’s first delivery is due this afternoon and hidden in the crate of olive oil will be a package containing drugs.
The next day a stressed Jacob awaits the delivery, just as a party of police officers arrive for a retirement do with their sniffer dog in tow.
Jacob manages to get the package out and leaves The Bistro, but the police dog clearly senses something as he begins barking at the crate. Craig heads for Jacob’s flat, but what will he say and will Jacob and Damon be found out?
The next day, Damon gives Jacob a beating in the ginnel over what has happened as he shows his true colours. After attacking him, Damon tells him that if he wants to protect Amy, he needs to disappear for good.
Five exits?
Coronation Street could be lining up five exits from the ITV soap in the coming weeks, as part of two separate storylines. Two residents plan to leave the show after recent events involving a racist group led by Griff, while Griff could also finally depart the show next month.
Elsewhere, two other residents could be forced to do a runner from Weatherfield after a sinister threat from newcomer Damon, who finally shows his true colours to son Jacob.
In the fallout to something that happens at the Weatherfield Peace Market at the start of the new year, two teens find themselves wanting to go under the radar after their links to an extremist group are revealed. Newcomer Lauren, the daughter of one of the members of the extremist group, confirms she is leaving after everything that has happened.
She tells him that she’s going to stay with her Mum in Devon and that he should come with her as they’re both public enemy number one - so will Max decide to do this? Then there's Griff - could he finally face justice?
Elsewhere, as Damon shows his true colours he tells Damon he must leave Weatherfield for good.
Jacob tells Nick how Damon is smuggling drugs through the restaurant and he has no choice but to leave as Amy’s life is in danger. But as he goes to flee Amy walks in on him, so will he get away and could she go with him?
Mike and Esther exposed
Summer Spellman will be kidnapped next week, as sinister Mike and Esther take action as they fear she will dash their surrogacy hopes.
The teenager makes two big discoveries about the mystery couple, as their past and their secrets are finally set to be exposed.
As her loved ones desperately try to get the couple to back off, amid Summer's plan to be a surrogate for them, things lead to the alarming moment that Summer is held against her will at their house.
It all kicks off when Todd Grimshaw and Billy Mayhew, Summer's dads, both uncover two secrets about Mike - both of which leave the men worried.
When Summer is forced to confront the pair just as they begin the process for their surrogacy, she ends up being locked away in the house.
He ends up leaving her in danger though, as he shuts her away without her bag which contains her phone and insulin - with Summer having diabetes.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
