Coronation Street’s Abi Franklin comes head to head with Imran Habeeb over the fight for paternity of baby Alfie in the show next week.
Imran has turned to dirty tricks on the ITV soap recently as he tries to win custody of baby Alfie, despite insisting he would fight fair.
Imran (Charlie de Melo) has had Abi followed and tried to pin drugs claims on her when he didn't necessarily believe they were true.
This week, Imran and Abi (Sally Carman) faced the concluding part of the custody hearing following Alfie’s birth.
Abi was so desperate that she considered doing a runner with baby Alfie in Friday's instalment of the ITV soap.
Toyah blocked Abi from leaving the hospital ward, with Imran warning that he'd call the police if she didn’t return baby Alfie.
The pair argued and as the drugs dupe came up, Toyah looked doubtful and later quizzed Imran on his version of events after the lawyer swore Ben had seen Abi buying drugs.
Utterly defeated, Abi was left to attend the vigil for her son Seb a year after his murder.
As she tried to grieve, Abi found more strength as she confronted Imran once again, well aware he'd paid Ben to lie about her buying the drugs.
But the drama looks set to ramp up next week, as Abi could still do a runner with baby Alfie, ITV spoilers have revealed.
The storyline continues on Monday, May 16 when Abi is on the charm offensive.
Imran, Toyah, Kelly, Nick, Leanne and Adam gather for Alfie’s naming ceremony, when Abi enters.
She grabs the opportunity to take some pictures of her son, but then later secretly meets up with Matty, an old contact.
She mysteriously hands him a couple of envelopes, ordering him to work his magic. What could be in the mysterious mail?
The story continues on Wednesday, May 18 when Abi pulls on Toyah’s heartstrings - and she later tells a horrified Imran that she let Abi take Alfie for a walk by herself.
Imran rushes out in search and finds her at Red Rec, demanding to know what she’s been up to.
In Victoria Garden, Abi calls Matty and confirms that she’s happy to wait a week for the fake passports. Is Abi about to do a runner with baby Alfie in tow?
