Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has revealed the surprising career she could pursue if her acting work dries up.
The actress has played Maria Connor on the famous cobbles since 2000 and admits she doesn't plan on walking away just yet, but has confessed she does have a back-up option in place.
The fans' favourite, 39, has confirmed she's actually a qualified reflexologist and would head back to the profession if acting came to an end.
She explained how she's also completed a diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy too, saying how she was motivated to take up the course following her own struggles with anxiety.
Speaking to The Sun TV Mag, she said: "I did that last year because, like I say, I wasn’t too busy at Corrie and it was something that I really always fancied learning more about.
"I’ve actually had CBT therapy myself for anxiety so I thought it would be interesting to look at it from the other side, the therapy side of it."
She admitted it's something she is "really, really interested in" and said she can see herself adding similar qualifications to her CV in the future.
"You never know," she confessed. "I love courses. A few years ago, I did my reflexology course.
"I’m a qualified reflexologist. If everything goes pear-shaped I can always pick that up again."
Sticking closer to acting, she also spoke about her desire to get into directing, saying she often thinks about studying directing and taking up a place behind the camera instead.
And she revealed that her back-up plan used to be to go to uni to get the qualifications necessary to do so, but believes she might now be a bit too mature to go to study now.
She added: "It’s actually a bit part of being in front of the camera, knowing what’s going on behind the camera. It’s always interested me, how directors work."
Last month, Samia admitted that "hurtful" trolling had helped her prepare for a Corrie storyline.
She said she did not have to research her character's trolling storyline as she's suffered "horrible" comments for years.
It came as Maria faced death threats after a plan to make the local community in Weatherfield greener backfires and caused he bin men to strike.
