Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher is the latest famous face to join the Dancing on Ice line-up, it has been announced.
The soap star, 24, will the likes of join Love Island winner Ekin- Su Cülcüloğlu and EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer on the popular ITV show, which is expected to kick off early next year.
Mollie is best known for playing goth Nina Lucas, who arrived on the cobbles in 2019 to live with her uncle Roy Cropper, and last September won the award for Best Serial Performance at the National Television Awards, for her role.
Nina was the centre of a harrowing storyline last year, when she and her boyfriend Seb were targeted due to Nina's appearance, and Seb was murdered.
Nina was hospitalised and then racked with guilt over the attack, before facing facing the culprit in court.
In real life, Mollie's life is far less dramatic than her soap counterpart, with the actress enjoying days out with her friends, holidays and time with her musician boyfriend.
While Nina is known for her long, black hair and dramatic make-up, Mollie changes up her hairstyle and colours.
The star's Instagram has more recently been full of pictures of her rocking a two-toned do, with icy-blonde tresses at the front and dark locks at the back, but in the past her hair was longer and brown.
In June the star posted holiday pictures from Crete where she looked completely different to Nina, going make-up free and wearing a leopard print crop top.
Mollie lives in Manchester and has been dating musician Dan Myers for more than two years.
In July she shared a photo of the pair at a bar, with the guitarist's arm resting on her shoulder, simply captioning the photo with a black love heart.
In 2021 the pair marked Valentine's Day and their one year anniversary within two days.
Mollie captioned a pic of the pair: "Valentine’s Day and our anniversary all in two days.
"Happy 1 year of Mol and Dan, I love you."
In January this year, Mollie shared a snap of the two smiling at a bar in London, which overlooked the Thames and the London Eye.
She simply wrote in the caption: "when we were in london xxxxx."
Speaking on Lorraine today, after her Dancing on Ice news was announced, Mollie said: "I'm really excited. I've not really felt nervous yet, but being here today, now I'm feeling it. Back in the day, I've skated at Christmas markets but before the try out for Dancing on Ice, I went on the ice."
"I'll be getting all the tips I can," Mollie revealed as she confirmed she'd be chatting with her fellow Corrie stars who have taken to the ice.
Jane Danson and Sally Dynevor are just two of a number of Corrie stars who have giving the show a go.
