Coronation Street star Sally-Ann Matthews has hinted Stephen Reid 'gets away with murder' amid some shocking scenes ahead.
Stephen - played by Todd Boyce - turned killer during yesterday's episode as her murdered Leo in a shock twist. As Leo threatened to expose him to his mum Audrey over his plans to steal her money, he took action and pushed him to his death.
Moments later, Sarah appeared and quizzed Stephen why he was out by the bins, as he kept his secret under wraps. When she'd left, he seemed upset and questioned what he was going to do next now he killed Leo
Stephen later returned to take the body out of the bin and away in his van, with Jenny still none the wiser that Leo had been killed as she celebrated the pair's plans to emigrate to Canada together in the Rovers Return.
Now actress Sally Ann Matthews has revealed what happens next in the storyline - as she teases a shocking moment during tomorrow night's episode, as the fall out from the murder continues to grow.
Speaking with Lorraine on her ITV show today, Sally teased: "It was very dramatic last night!
"We're really fortunate we have a brilliant director; he's come up through the ranks and he's a fantastic director. Wednesday night's episode, the first scene is quite shocking and brilliant."
She also confirmed that Jenny will - for the mean time at least - remain none the wiser about Leo's death and will instead think he has rushed off to Canada without her, leaving her heartbroken. Stephen has hid the body, so it will no doubt take some time for his murder to be revealed. As in all good soap storylines, there is no doubt the storyline will resurface itself very soon.
Meanwhile, actor Todd previously teased Stephen could turn to murder once again.
When asked if Stephen would kill again, Todd shared to The Mirror and other press: "I don't know, I'm not sure. I think he's capable of just killing more people and going on and doing that, but watch this space."
Todd's co-stars are also fearing the worst, as he joked: "In the green room, I've been offered a lot of cups of tea by a lot of people who wanna find out how long I'm going to be doing the show, and how many people I am gonna kill."
