Corrie stars Charlotte Jordan and Ryan Prescott shared a photo as they arrived at The TRIC Awards this afternoon. The pair are facing off in the hope of winning the coveted Best Soap Actor prize.
But despite competing against each other there seemed to be no hard feelings between the two as they posed for the cameras outside the Grosvenor Hotel in London, where the awards are taking place. They posed alongside fellow Coronation Street stars Elle Mulvaney and Tanisha Gorey before entering the venue.
Charlotte and Jordan were not the only TV stars hoping to walk away with the Best Soap Actor award. They faced Eastenders' Danielle Harold (who plays Lola Pearce-Brown) and Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle).
It was Danielle Harold who ended up taking the trophy home. Danielle has been one of the big stars of Eastenders this year as her character Lola suffered through a brain cancer diagnosis. Her much-loved character recently died in an emotional scene which left other characters struggling to face their grief.
TRIC has been running for 50 years and its awards recognise talent across TV, radio and online. The organisation says that it aims to work to support good causes through annual events and its corporate partners.
