Coronation Street 's Roy Cropper sparked concern on Wednesday night, as he said an emotional goodbye to some other residents.
But it wasn't his possible death that had viewers worried, and instead they were distracted by a possible blunder.
Fans of the ITV soap know that Roy has experienced chest pains recently, and he was rushed to hospital last week after almost collapsing.
Now the character must undergo an operation, while he's not shared his fears with his niece Nina.
But in the latest episode, scenes involving Roy left many viewers confused and all asking the same question - and it was linked to his outfit.
On Wednesday night, fans saw Roy admit to Nina that he had to go in to the hospital, but it was pal Evelyn that he revealed more to.
Handing her a load of letters he'd written for loved ones, he told her to distribute them if he dies during his operation.
Last week he was diagnosed with angina and was told he needed an operation, before learning the surgery was as soon as this week.
On Wednesday the surgery approached, and Roy finally spoke to Nina after concerning her with his recent sleepwalking.
As Roy spoke to Nina and admitted he wasn't just concerned about his dog Freddie's health, he revealed his looming operation and what was going on with him.
What he didn't tell her though was that he feared he would die, due to the risks that came with the surgery.
Despite being told the odds were on his side, Roy is still worried he won't make it and wrote letters to Evelyn, Nina and others to be opened if the worst did happen.
But fans were a little distracted by what Roy was wearing, and more so how he was wearing it, leading to them asking if he knew what was going on.
Viewers noted that Roy's v-neck knitted jumper seemed to be on back to front.
Spotting the v-neck was at the back, many viewers took to Twitter to ask if anyone else had noticed, with many confused if it was part of the episode or a mistake.
One viewer said: "Don't often see Roy so dishevelled. He'll be mortified that nobody told him his jumper was the wrong way round."
Another tweeted: "I wonder if Roy realises that his jumper is on back-to-front tonight?!!"
A third fan wrote: "Was it explained why Roy was wearing his woolly jumper back to front?" while a fourth said: "I do love that Roy's jumper has been on backwards all episode."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
