Coronation Street’s troubled teen Max Turner was left in a frightening situation on Friday evening after he was left critically injured amid plans to run away.
The storyline reached its terrifying conclusion when Max had a huge fall out with David, who had confiscated his phone.
Feeling guilty about Amy, he told David he hates him - only for David to retaliate by saying Max’s mum would be ashamed of him if she were alive.
Max then snuck out to find his phone - only to cut his leg on a shard of glass when he broke into the barber's, leaving him bleeding out on the street.
But when Jacob and Simon came across him, the pair sprung into action to stem the blood and call the ambulance before David arrived on the scene.
But as Max was taken to the hospital, Corrie fans took to Twitter to predict Jacob’s life-saving action for Max could have devastating consequences down the line.
One wrote: “What's betting Simon will tell people Jacob attacked Max. He's got blood on his jacket.”
Another exclaimed: “David’s not gonna blame Jacob, is he?!! Poor sod!”
A fellow fan wrote: “I hope Jacob doesn’t end up getting the blame for idiot Max’s behaviour.”
Another user tweeted: “How much are we betting Jacob will get the blame?”
A fellow fan posted: “How long before Max recovers and blames Jacob or Si,” as another predicted: “Max is gonna blame Jacob for his injury and then Jacob could get arrested for GBH.”
The drama started after Max had become entangled in the love triangle between Daisy Midgeley, Nicky Wheatley and Daniel Osbourne.
The drama started when Mrs Crawshaw called Nicky her into her office at the school and was told to her horror that images of her past life as a sex worker were being shared around the school.
Daniel was furious when he heard what happened, assuming Daisy has let her jealousy get the better of her, only to discover it was Max behind it.
Daniel demanded he take responsibility for maliciously sharing Nicky’s images with the rest of the school.
In the street, Daniel railed at Max for ruining Nicky’s life, only for dad David Platt to leap to Max’s defence.
But furious Daniel decided he had had enough and suggested it was time Amy knew who spiked her drink - saying that if Max doesn’t tell her, he would.
During Wednesday’s episode a defiant Max assured David and Shona that Daniel was bluffing, as he had too much to lose.
But when Amy misread one lad’s admiring glances, she threw a cup of coffee over him and had a meltdown, believing he could have been the one to spike her drink.
Daniel then told David about Amy’s behaviour, saying she needs to know the truth.
