Coronation Street fans have been left confused by a 'disappearing' character on the ITV soap.
During tonight's show, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) were visited by a social worker who asked if they consider adopting Elsie, who they have been looking after for some time now.
Little four-year-old Elsie was adopted by the couple last October - but she has rarely been seen on screen since, and fans are unsure about her whereabouts, with many confessing they haven't seen her on screen since.
As Toyah and Imran thought about the idea of adopting, fans of the ITV soap took to social media to express their confusion over the whereabouts of the pair's foster child Elsie.
"So Toyah and Imran have grown really close to Elsie - whatever dimension Elsie seems to have disappeared into since she's another kid that seems to be on the missing list along with the quads!" one wrote on Twitter.
"Is Elsie even alive? You never see her #corrie," a second wrote as a third added: "Has Elsie ever been out of that bedroom."
A fourth shared: "Toyah and Imran might be keen on adopting Elsie but I bet they couldn't pick her out in a line up. Never see her."
"Considering she's locked in her room 24/7, it's not good for Elsie's welfare to be adopted by these two. #Corrie," one quipped, whilst another wrote online: " #Corrie have we seen Elsie in the last 3 years??"
Another fan of the show said similar was happening to Chesney and Gemma's quadruplets, as they said: "What's the point of children in #Corrie when we never see them? They're always upstairs or in their room. Who the heck is Elsie?"
Imran admitted he was worried about adopting because he had cheated on Toyah and she was still struggling to trust him.
She confessed it was difficult for her after what he'd done, but after a heart to heart with Abi - who viewers know was the one who Imran cheated on Toyah with - she decided to go through with the adoption.
However, she had one last suggestion for Imran - that the pair get married, as Toyah asked about the possibility.
