Coronation Street viewers have questioned if a shock death will air on the ITV soap this week ahead of the discovery of a body.
Gary Windass will fear his killer crimes will finally be exposed, as Laura Neelan could finally discover what happened to her ex Rick.
Rick disappeared three years ago, and what very few people know is that Gary murdered him and buried his body in the woods.
It was self-defence as loan shark Rick was about to murder him first, but Gary, after burying his body, kept the death to himself.
After a close call last year, Gary moved the body - but with the new site currently being worked on, it's only a matter of time before the corpse is set to be found.
Next week, Laura continues the search for missing Rick with the help of a private investigator, much to Gary's horror as the walls close in on him.
But things escalate when the investigator suggests to Laura there is only one explanation for his disappearance.
He suggests Rick is dead, and it's highly likely the killer is Gary - which fans know to be true.
It all kicks off when the private investigator asks Gary some difficult questions about his dealings with Rick.
Meanwhile, Gary begins his plan to get the body away from the site, but he's thwarted by a security guard meaning he has to flee.
He soon returns and contemplates his fate, just as Laura confronts him about what she's been told.
Now, viewers believe that if Gary does tell Laura what really happened, it could lead to a surprising death twist on the ITV soap.
Taking to Twitter, some Corrie viewers questioned whether Gary will be forced to strike again to silence Laura, if the truth comes out.
One viewer tweeted: "Is Gary going to kill the mother by increasing her meds do we think?"
Another predicted he would kill her writing: "Do we think that Gary will kill Laura?"
With the pressure getting to him, will Gary end up confessing to Rick's murder or will he work out a cover story?
A new trailer has revealed that Kelly and her mum Laura will be left in tears by the end of the week, as blue flashing lights surround them - so viewers should tune in next week to find out what happens.
