Coronation Street fans are concerned for Summer Spellman after spotting a worrying detail in Mike and Esther's house.
The pair were hoping to adopt Summer's baby after she and boyfriend Aaron fell pregnant unexpectedly. However, tragically they lost the baby but had already taken £10,000 from the couple for their expenses in relation to the 'adoption'.
Having used the money for Aaron's father's rehab, they were unable to pay it back - but Summer has been living with the pair since she headed over to theirs to give them her ages for the month in the hope it would placate them.
However, fans of the ITV soap are growing increasingly concerned for Summer after spotting a detail in the back of one of the shots, as Summer spoke to the pair about how grateful she was to them for letting her stay.
"Mike and Esther been punching that fridge? State of it!" one fan noticed as a second added: "#Corrie anyone else spot the creepy punch marks in Mike and Esther’s fridge? Violence behind closed doors maybe?"
A third shared: "What’s happened to that fridge door - dents all over the place!" someone else wondered.
"Esther and Mike are giving me red flags. I don't trust them at all," a fourth wrote.
Speaking to The Mirror recently, actress Harriet has teased what lies ahead for Summer – while Aaron Sandford star James added there could be a twist. Harriet told us: "Well, to be fair I love reading the fan theories.
"Sometimes they get it bang on the money and sometimes it is such a wild thing, like wouldn't it be cool or something like that to happen? Obviously we are filming a bit ahead of what everyone sees so it's nice to know maybe what the fans want to see or what they don't want to see so it is really interesting. I think there's lots twist turns in this story."
She added: "She has not had the best year and I don't think she is coping very well with everything that is happening. I think she is in for a bit of a ride with Esther and Mike but we'll see what happens, she had got the support of Billy, and Aaron and her dads as well."
James also addressed the theories, adding: "Maybe Mike and Ester have other intentions but maybe not. We'll have to see."
