Corrie fans distracted by 'annoying' police blunders as officer grills Kevin Webster

Coronation Street fans were left feeling frustrated as they tuned into Thursday's episode.

The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw Kevin Webster and his wife Abi head to the police station to be questioned following Imran Habeeb's death.

Imran died during Wednesday's episode after being involved in a car crash with his wife Toyah.

Officers were keen to talk to Abi and Kevin after Leanne Battersby told them that Kevin had offered to fix Imran's car on the morning of the accident.

The male officer speaking to Kevin seemed angry from the get go and immediately started implying that Kevin had tampered with the brakes on Imran's car.

Viewers were certainly distracted by the police officer questioning Kevin and were quick to point out various blunders.

First of all, several Corrie fans were quick to point out that it wouldn't be just one officer interviewing Kevin, and he would also have a solicitor present.

One person tweeted: "#corrie where is Kevin's legal representative and the second policeman for accuracy?"

Another said: "No solicitor with Kevin, well the street is one down one now I suppose #Corrie."

A third viewer posted: "Rubbish soap opera cops. They are all useless. #corrie," while a fourth added: "So what are they alleging he's done to this car. You have to present details. #Forensics #Corrie."

Other viewers simply found the extra hard to watch and not realistic at all.

One person fumed: "These coppers… why are coppers in #Corrie and all soaps so f**kin annoying !!"

Another tweeted: "The pretend cop interviewing Kevin Webster in #corrie is quite annoying! (He's also not very convincing) Ouch!"

And a third added: "I can't take this cop seriously interviewing Kevin #Corrie."

Coronation Street continues Friday at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
