Sarah Barlow ended up drinking with the enemy in unsettling Coronation Street scenes on Monday night (March 20). For months Damon Hay, the brother of drugs lord Harvey Gaskell, was dealing drugs through the deliveries at her brother Nick Tilsley's bistro.
After blackmailing Nick to get involved in the business, he has gone on to make Nick's life a misery. In the latest instalment of the ITV soap Sarah fell out with her solicitor husband Adam Barlow when she discovered that he had been hired to provide legal representation to Damon.
A fuming Sarah stormed off to the hotel he'd booked for their date night on her own and ordered a glass of wine in the bar, and she sat down next to Damon, unaware this was the man bothering her brother. As Damon chatted her up, Sarah admitted she’d had a row with her husband.

As they continued to get along, a flirty Sarah agreed to let Damon up to her room to share the bottle of champagne Adam had ordered for them. Eventually Sarah came to her senses when she opened a card with a loving message from her man and she asked him to leave.
Back in the hotel bar there was an awkward encounter as Adam turned up. After running into Damon, he introduced him to his wife who was stunned to realise who she had almost cheated with.
However fans reacted with disbelief including @StVitusDance who tweeted: "So Sarah doesnt recognise Damon from him hanging around her brothers bistro for weeks??" And @DionPetrie asked: "He worked at the bistro for weeks and she never saw him?"
@MatthewMitt6 exclaimed: "How the hell does Sarah not recognise Damon may I ask." @djb0607 wondered: "#corrie he’s in partnership with her brother at the Bistro where she spends lots of time but she hasn’t met him."
