Coronation Street fans all said the same thing tonight as the Bistro was hit by an armed raid.
Things have been getting tense in the Bistro for Nick and Leanne, as Damon has been using it as a cover for a drugs operation. He has been keeping the pair at his mercy after investing money into the Cobbles' restaurant to keep them afloat.
Now, fuming fans of the ITV soap have begged for a change to the storylines after noticing a rise in trouble on the Cobbles, including no less than a far right terrorist group planting a bomb, a horror stabbing and now this gun showdown.
"Ditch the drug dealers, the guns , the thugs, the serial killers, the villains, the ludicrous storylines and maybe, just maybe #Corrie will be worth watching again," one person penned on social media.
Another added: "Can we please move on from “gangsters”, drug lords, and guns . It’s not what I watch #Corrie for. Tackle real life issues and add a bit of drama by all means, but this is getting ridiculous."
Other viewers urged for less "violence and misery" in the ITV soap as they slammed the storylines.
"In the past month, there’s been drug dealing, a stabbing, a murder (by Stephen of course), a fall into a puddle (Nina) and now this! A shooting/siege! Why people are still leaving here is beyond me. It’s more of a threat to life than, well… life!" a third wrote.
A fourth penned: "Terrorist gangs? Now armed drugs raids? What’s happening to #corrie?!" with a fifth writing: "In the last few weeks, there's Spider with a head injury because of Griff, a bombing, Damon beating up Jacob before getting him to leave, Summer held hostage, Alya being stabbed and now armed drugs gunmen at the bistro - what's with all the constant violence and misery? #Corrie."
It comes after Stephen Reid murdered Teddy, the father of Leo, who Stephen also killed, by hitting him with a holepunch.
Teddy confronted Stephen how he had to be involved in Leo's disappearance, after finding out the texts from Leo to say he had safely arrived in Canada were actually sent from Weatherfield. Stephen has managed to hide both Leo and Teddy's bodies, but how long will it be until his killer secret is exposed and everyone else realises what he's like?
