Coronation Street actor Rob Mallard has teased there is a huge feud ahead for the Barlows and Platts.
Daniel Osbourne pushed David Platt's son Max down the stairs in horrifying scenes earlier this week, after Max broke into his flat and trashed it, accidentally smashing his last memory of his late wife Sinead.
However, Daniel has teased that there will be a huge row between the two families, who have been permanently linked to one another after Sarah Platt married Adam Barlow, as tensions reach boiling point.
Explaining that "there's too much water under the bridge now", Rob revealed there is a huge long running feud brewing.
"It goes a bit wild west, they both have information on each other that they could use to get the other into serious trouble but they take the law into their own hands and decide to settle things between them," he is quoted by Digital Spy as saying.
Daniel has been busy focusing on his teaching, particularly after Sinead passed away.
"It's really important to him, he's worked so hard on his PGCE and he wants to do something meaningful. He tells David he wants to make a difference and he can do that through teaching," he said.
"It is something he cares a lot about and it's made his life the most normal it's been for years. After Sinead died his life was turned upside down, he was left alone with Bertie and he didn't know where he was headed.
"It's a nice little anchor for him in the world, that's separate to being a dad."
It comes after show bosses teased that Daniel and David Platt will be the new Ken Barlow and Mike Baldwin.
Speaking about taking the feud to the next level, executive producer Iain Macleod said: "I was struck with Daniel and David in many scenes – I asked if they’d had many scenes and Jack quipped that he maybe passed him a beer mat.
"Having these two actors in really big angry and emotional scenes – both quite witty, it’s just dynamite."
He added: "The moment I saw them going at it, I just knew. Why didn’t we do this before?! I don’t want to jinx it by saying it’s like Ken and Mike but it has the potential to go on a long time. I hope it works."
