Just over 1,000 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Bristol region within the last 24 hours. A total of 1,1019 cases were reported between Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Cases are continuing to decline nationwide and the picture is the same within the Bristol region. The UK recorded its lowest days for new cases since December 7, 2021.
Similarly, cases in the City of Bristol are at their lowest point in two months since 333 daily cases were confirmed on December 12.

Bristol continues to have the most cases within the region with 426 positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. South Gloucestershire follows with a further 254 new cases.
North Somerset had a further 183 cases confirmed today, while Bath and North East Somerset had the fewest in the region with 156 new positive tests. The total number of cases across the Bristol region now stands at 313,425 since the pandemic began.
There was one new death recorded within the City of Bristol within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. The total number of deaths within 28 days across the Bristol region now stands at 1,796 since the pandemic began.

Bath and North East Somerset: 48,083 (+156)
Bristol: 136,454 (+426)
- North Somerset: 51,992 (+183)
- South Gloucestershire: 76,896 (+254)
