Coronation Street star shares major regret from when the Queen visited set

Coronation Street's Joe Duttine has played Tim Metcalfe on the cobbles since 2013, and fans have loved watching his comedic relationship with wife Sally in recent years.

While Tim is known for his sense of humour, actor Joe has taken to social media to admit something more serious. He has shared a huge regret in the wake of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

In July 2021, the late monarch visited the Coronation Street set in Manchester. Her Majesty walked along the region's most famous road in July 2021 to celebrate 60 years of the soap.

Afterwards, Ken Barlow actor Bill Roache said the Queen made you feel like you were the "only person in her life". Appearing on This Morning, he said: "What was so lovely about her was this readiness to smile, and you felt she wanted to laugh, and had a beautiful laugh".

In paying tribute to the late Queen, a number of Corrie stars have shared snaps from Her Majesty's visit to Weatherfield. However, Joe Duttine seems to have missed out.

He shared a photo of his on-screen wife, Sally Dynevor, alongside the Queen. He had drawn a red stick figure in between the two.

Captioning the snap, he said: "This is where I should have been standing if if weren't for bloody COVID...." Fans were quick to share his disappointment.

Taking to the comments section, Lynda Angus said: "That's sad [heart emoji]", while Jill Russell said: "Awww bless you x". Dean Holland said: "So sorry for you".

Charlotte said: "Oh this is devastating x", while Joanne said: "Sending well wishes Joe, you could not help being ill x"
