A popular Coronation Street actress has announced a surprising career change just weeks after quitting the soap.
Ellie Leach, who played Faye Windass on the cobbles for 12 years, is becoming a jewellery designer.
The 22-year-old shared an update on her career with fans as she revealed a jewellery line with quirky accessories brand Dorothy and J.

Ellie shared her designs including a a series of little hoop earrings in gold and silver in various styles including with white diamonds and with a pink heart pendant.
The collection, titled the Ellie L bundle, retails from £45 (€52) and is among the new career ventures that Ellie is exploring after her soap exit, Daily Star reports.
It was reported last month that she was leaving the ITV soap, which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland.
Her final scenes saw her depart Weatherfield in a packed vehicle with former on-screen boyfriend Jackson and their daughter Miley.
Ellie recently took to Coronation Street's Instagram account for a farewell video, saying: "Just want to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone who has watched Corrie over the past 12 years and supported me.
"And also to my Corrie family, I am going to miss you all so much. And yeah, just thank you so much to everyone who has always said nice words and really supported me."
A series of her favourite scenes from the long running soap also left fans contemplating the loss of one of their most popular on-screen characters.
Ellie was joined at her leaving do by a host of Coronation Street stars, including on-screen love interests Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, and Jackson Hodge, portrayed by Joseph Evans.
She also partied with her cousin Brooke, actor Ryan Russell who plays Michael Bailey, and Channique Sterling-Brown, who stars as lawyer Dee Dee.
The stars posed for pictures on a balcony of a bar in Manchester, with Ellie donning a black dress, leather jacket and boots.
Ellie wrote alongside the post: "Finally getting round to posting these pictures from my leaving do, we had so much fun and I’m so lucky to call these people my friends.
"The last picture is the woman I owe my life to and she’ll probably kill me for posting this!!!!!!!
"She chaperoned me for the majority of my time at Corrie and she’s been through everything with me. She’s my second mum and I honestly would not be who I am without her, if you see this Cinds, I love you so much."
