Coronation Street set to show four sudden exits next week including fan favourite and tragic death

Coronation Street could lose four faces within a week in upcoming episodes of the Virgin Media soap, as one fan favourite departs for good and another moves away.

There could be two further exits, as one character is set to die in sad scenes very soon, while another minor character isn't likely to stick around.

Emma Brooker has confirmed she is leaving the soap after four years, following actress Alexandra Mardell quitting earlier this year.

What we know so far is that her killer secret linked to newcomer Jon's grandfather Ted is finally exposed, Mirror TV reports.

Whether Emma will be on the run from the law or face prison remains to be seen, while her exit is due to air on Irish TV on Friday April 8.

It's not known if she will get her happy ending after love interest Jon asks her to move to Australia with him. But once he finds out what happened to Ted, will he change his mind and could it lead to trouble for Emma?

Either way, Jon will likely be leaving the show next week too as with Emma gone, there is not really a reason for him to stick around.

His exit is also being kept under wraps, but of course if Emma does land herself in trouble there is a chance he could stick around a little longer, in a possible bid for justice.

Another fan favourite set to depart the famous street is Fiz Brown, who packs up her things and moves away from the cobbles for the first time since her 2001 debut.

Fiz doesn't seem to be leaving the show entirely, and soon returns to her job at the factory where she appears to have doubts over her big move.

But if she does stay with Phill, could a more permanent exit be on the cards for her?

Finally, it seems Laura Neelan could tragically lose her life during next Friday's episode, on April 8, following her battle with cancer.

While this isn't confirmed for sure, it appears to be the case as Gary Windass learns in this episode that she has just hours left to live.

He is then tasked with granting Laura's final dying wish to have one last hug with her daughter Kelly, who is refusing to see her.

As Gary pleads with Kelly to see her mother one last time before it is too late, will she be with Laura in her time of need?

It does seem as though Laura could sadly pass away in this episode, making her the fourth exit of sorts in the same week.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on Virgin Media One.
