Coronation Street star Simon Gregson is appearing at £37 curry nights as he works to repay a £165,000 debt to HMRC.

The TV actor, 51, who has played Steve McDonald on the soap since 1989, previously took out a £250,000 loan from his production firm Simon Gregson Productions.
