Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon has received a raft of support from her co-stars and fans after sharing an update about her late father.
The Maria Connor actress said on Friday she felt the need to call her dad for a brief moment, before remembering he had sadly died more than 13 years ago. Samia said it was like a "punch in the gut all over again".
The 40-year-old said: "A funny thing just happened.. I just thought I’m going to give my dad a call. He passed away over 13 years ago but every now and then for a split second I forget. And then it’s like a punch in the gut all over again to know that I’ll never be able to speak to him.
