Coronation Street star Sam Aston has shared a hidden detail about Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter's upcoming wedding that viewers definitely won't spot. Next week in the ITV soap, the couple will finally tie the knot and while the day should be about them both, it's fair to say all eyes will be on Gemma.
On-screen, the mum-of-four has bought a charity shop dress which has been dyed and customised by her pal, seamstress Izzy Armstrong, played by Cherylee Houston. However, in reality, the huge jaw-dropping orange wedding gown has been co-designed and made by drag queen and fashion designer Liquorice Black.
In first-look pictures revealed this week, Gemma, played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, can be seen sporting the impressive two-metre wide dress, with a stunning seven-metre long train and complete with fairy lights, alongside her groom, whose suit has been bought by his son Joseph's grandmother, Linda.

Chesney, played by Sam Aston, looks dapper in the navy three-piece which has been worn over a crisp white shirt and is complete with a matching silk orange tie and pocket square. The loved-up couple are also seen alongside their children with Joseph wearing the same as his father.
The quads, meanwhile, are simply adorable with Aled and Bryn sporting white shirts and navy trousers with orange dickie bows and matching braces while Carys and Llio continue the theme in white leotards with tutus to match their mum's dress and added multi-coloured. fairy wings.
Asked about whether Chesney expected to Gemma's extravagant attire, Sam told the Manchester Evening News and other press: "I think so. He's just kind of used to it now. She's bonkers in a good way and I think, he lives in a house with them and Bernie.
"He added with a laugh: "God bless him, it must be a manic house to live in. When it comes to the day, he's just rolling with it and he's just having the best time. The dress is pretty epic. When you need a drone to get it in shot it says a lot doesn't it?"
But while Chesney is sometimes a bit put upon with the likes of Gemma and Bernie around him, Sam wouldn't want it any other way when it comes to working with Dolly-Rose and Jane Hazlegrove. "I honestly, I'm not just saying this, have the best time working with Dolly, Jane and Jac [Jacqueline Leonard, who plays Linda Hancock]. We have such a laugh on set and it's good fun."
Speaking about Chesney's relationship with the women in his life, Sam added: "I think Chesney has just accepted the chaos. At first, I think he was a bit like, 'Oh, when's your mum going, Gemma?' I think he thought just get her out my hair' and she really got on his nerves and still does at times, but actually, he's really warmed to Bernie and they get on really nicely.
"It's a really nice partnership. Both girls, both Dolly and Jane, call me 'old man Chesnye' because they think I'm a bit like Chesney so that's the name I've got for myself now. And he is like the 'old man' figure in the house. He keeps things grounded, he's very sensible, very beige but it works."
But Sam is no stranger to big families himself so Chesney and Gemma's quads as well as his son Joseph and mother-in-law Bernie all living under one roof isn't a shock to him. The dad-of-two said: "Because I grew up in a big family, I've always been used to the chaos. I've got five sisters and three brothers so I'm used to a lot of people being around in the house, children and all sorts.
"But with work, it's all well-structured because when we have scenes where the quads are in, we have got the chaperone, Karen, who is lovely, we've got the parents who come on set and they'll only bring them on when we do a take so as crazy as it sounds, it's not as bedlam, I don't think, as it could be when you initially think [about] four babies on set."
Dolly, meanwhile, was also quizzed on working with five children on the set of Corrie. Asked what scenes are like to film with all the children, and if they are hectic, the soap star said: "Yes, yes they are hectic. It's a lot to have five children on set.
"Will's a bit older, he's been doing it for longer and he's getting used to it now but the four little ones cause chaos." She then said with hesitation: "It's fun..." before adding: "Sam is very skilled with children and I'm really grateful he is there."
