Coronation Street's Phill reveals link to John Stape - but fans have another theory

John Stape Phill Fiz Corrie Coronation Street Hope Stape

Hope Stape found out some hard-hitting home truths in Coronation Street today.

The youngster discovered that she is the daughter of kidnapper and murderer John Stape. The soap villain, who was in a relationship with Fiz, was written out as he died in 2011 after his secret life of crime was uncovered.

Fiz was forced to explain his full background to her shared daughter with him after Hope found a folder of information on him on Fiz's new lover's laptop. Angry at what she had found, she smashed Phill's car up with a digger.
