Coronation Street's Nina debuts drastic new look and fans are obsessed with it

Coronation Street's Nina Lucas has taken on a drastic new look for her latest storyline and fans are loving it.

Next week, in a bid to stop her girlfriend, Asha Alahan, travelling to Glasgow, Nina who is played by Mollie Gallagher will be seen sporting a new blonde look.

The café worker has been suffering from panic attacks since her boyfriend, Seb, was horrifically murdered on the cobbles last year.

The brutal storyline came about as goth Nina and Seb were set upon over the way she looked.

Now, Nina's girlfriend Asha wants to apply to go to university in Scotland and Nina puts on a brave face while encouraging her girlfriend to go for it - despite still struggling with her anxiety.

But when she learns there are floods expected in Glasgow, a panicky Nina shares her fears about Asha’s train journey with Roy.

When Asha calls in at the cafe to see Nina before setting off to Glasgow, Nina pockets her phone.

Asha’s shocked to find Nina’s taken her phone as she refuses to let her go to Glasgow, and she's alarmed when Nina locks the cafe door to stop her leaving.

The actress will be seen with blonde sections of hair for the first time on the soap in upcoming episodes.

Normally sporting an all black look, including a black lip, it is rare to see any colour on the character.

Mollie debuted the new lighter look for her fans on Instagram and they were delighted to see such a change.

Dawn said: "Wow what a difference it makes only one word for it - Beautiful"

Jackie said: "Loooove the new look."

Dorothy said: "Absolutely gorgeous suits you."

Cariad said: "Love your hair and your lighter shade of lipstick. You have been amazing in Corrie."

Coronation Street airs at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and the ITV Hub.
