Coronation Street’s Joseph Aston is now a proud dad to a beautiful baby girl.
Joseph and his partner Roxanne welcomed their first daughter Tilly Wren Aston on April 26 last month.
Some TV fans might recognise Joe from a very popular soap, and some might think he looks like a very popular soap star (hint: he has a famous sibling).
The new dad starred in Coronation Street back in 2000 when he played the role of Jack and Vera's grandson Tommy Duckworth on the ITV soap opera.
20 years on from his soap stint, the actor has started a family of his own.
His partner Roxanne took to Instagram to announce the news, and did so by sharing a sweet snap of Joseph with his daughter.
She penned: "Tilly Wren Aston. Born 26th April 2022 at 14.59 pm weighing 7 pounds 13 oz.
"Welcome to the outside beautiful girl.
"10 days old already #hellotilly #4thtrimester."
Friends of the couple were quick to comment on the joyous news with many flocking to the comments section to leave sweet messages.
One penned: "Tilly is beautiful, congratulations guys, so happy for you both xxx."
Another added: "Congratulations to you all she’s gorgeous."
While a third said: "Aww congratulations. What a beautiful name. Hope you’re all doing well! Xx."
She also included a snap of herself with Tilly sleeping on her chest.
Joseph shot to fame when he was a young boy starring in Corrie as Tommy Duckworth.
When in the soap he was embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his grandparents, after his mum Lisa's heartbreaking death.
Joseph's stint on the soap was short, but he did go on to star in the likes of BBC medical drama Casualty and ITV's Where the Heart Is.
He then bid acting a fond farewell in order to focus on his education.
According to his Instagram page, he is a keen gardener – which is a far cry from his brother's career path, which is in fact a lot like Joseph's early career stint in the world of acting.
His brother Sam Aston plays cheeky chappy and dad of five Chesney Brown – and has done since 2003.
And the family links to Corrie don't end here! Joseph and Sam’s sibling – Emily - also appeared in Coronation Street as the character Rebecca Palmer for 51 episodes between 1996 and 1997.
And although his siblings have not stayed in the soap – Sam has proved to be a popular cast member since he joined in 2003.
