Coronation Street's Fiz and Tyrone finally get engaged next week.
The pair nearly had their long romance ended for good by the arrival of Phill Whittaker, who was quick to impress and wow Fiz after her heartbreak over Tyrone's decision to run off with Alina Pop. Fiz was horrified by Tyrone's decision, but Phill helped her come to terms with it and they finally struck up a romance with one another whilst Alina ditched Tyrone.
As she moved away from the Street, Fiz realised she had made a horrible mistake in agreeing to be with Phill and despite a proposal, she decided it would be best for her to get back with Tyrone.
Next week, as the situation with Hope continues, she returns to school following her suspension. The school counsellor quizzes Fiz and Tyrone about their family background, leading Tyrone to make a big decision.
He decides it would be best to get down on one knee and finally proposes to his partner. Of course, Fiz says yes and as the couple celebrate their engagement with one another, they're interrupted by an unwelcome visitor.
The journalist who wrote the book about Hope's dad John Stape arrives and apologises to them.
As he apologises, he hands a bag to Fiz and explains that all his research into John Stape is contained within the bag. He wants to give it to them so that it never falls into the wrong hands now or in the future.
It comes as sources revealed that Tyrone and Fiz will get hitched on Christmas Day in a special episode for the ITV soap.
"Tyrone manages to keep it such a secret furious Fiz thinks he has made no Christmas plans," the source told The Sun, "S he sets off on Christmas Day to try and get stuff for dinner but her car breaks down and she has no phone signal.
"Meanwhile, back in Weatherfield, everyone is ready for the wedding. The big question is, ‘Will they, won’t they?'"
Fiz and Tyrone have had a long history together, with the mechanic seeking solace in friend Fiz after his ex Kirsty Soames' court case. Kirsty had abused Tyrone in a horrifying and heartbreaking storyline.
