Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach has revealed an unusual career move after leaving her role as Fay Windass after 12 years.
The actress, who left the ITV soap last month, has now shared an update on her career with fans as she revealed a jewellery line with quirky accessories brand Dorothy and J.
Ellie shared her designs including a a series of little hoop earrings in gold and silver in various styles including with white diamonds and with a pink heart pendant.
The collection, titled the Ellie L bundle, retails from £45 and is just one of the new career ventures that Ellie is exploring after her soap exit.
The actress played character Faye Windass since she was 9 years old on the famous Coronation Street cobbles but exited earlier this year.
Discussing her exit from the show on This Morning in May, Ellie revealed: "It was very, very emotional as obviously Faye is leaving the Street after 12 years, but it's me leaving the Street after 12 years as well. The saddest part is where she's in the taxi and we just see Craig on his own walking down the street and she's like stop the car, she gets out and says, 'I'll always love you, I always have and I always will'.
"I think it was just so emotional and you do see there's two people here who do love each other, but there are so many other factors, love isn't always enough and I think you can see that in that last scene."
She added: "It was very emotional, Faye has been here for 12 years but I have too and this has been my life."
Faye hasn't totally ruled out a return to the ITV soap though and could well have a comeback to Corrie on the cards in future.
Speaking at the Pride of Manchester Awards at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Ellie didn't confirm or deny a return would be possible as she laughed: "I don't know. People will have to watch and see..."
