Actor Alan Halsall is a household name thanks to his role as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, but his daughter sometimes uses his fame to embarrass him.
The 40-year-old actor shares daughter Sienna with ex-wife and co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, after the pair met whilst filming Coronation Street. Hudson now stars in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, whilst Halsall has remained a regular face on Coronation Street on ITV.
Alan, who is dating former Corrie actress Tisha Merry, said the cheeky nine-year-old is 'cheeky' by teasing her famous mum and dad whenever they're away from filming on set, and using it to her advantage.
Halsall revealed: "My poor little girl’s have got it from every angle because I’m on Corrie and her mum’s on Hollyoaks, and my [current] girlfriend was on Coronation Street.
"She just thinks it’s normal. Now she’s nine she’s getting a bit cheeky with it. We’ll be walking round a shop and she goes, 'Look Daddy! It’s you there on a magazine!'"
On the Corrie cobbles, Halsall's character Tyrone has rekindled his relationship with Fiz Stape, played by Jennie McAlpine. The on-screen couple have been in an on and off relationship for the best part of two decades, with the couple finally set to wed this Christmas.
ITV bosses celebrated the pair with a collaboration clip of their best moments. However, Halsall revealed some of the moments had escaped his memory, despite being part of them!
Halsall said: "It was quite an interesting thing because we got shown various clips and honestly, I had no recollection of them.
"All these different moments in their lives… it’s 20 years, I suppose, but there were times where we had real, big, passionate kisses and we’re looking at each other and I’m thinking, 'I don’t remember... I’m glad she doesn’t as well!'"
In another interview, Alan admitted: "We got to see our very first kiss, which was 21 years ago, so I’ve probably been kissing Jennie longer than anyone else in my life."
It wasn't just Alan that's forgotten though, Jennie McAlpine also agreed she couldn't remember the kisses either.
Asked if they remember that very first kiss, Jennie said: "I couldn’t at the time! I can now because I’ve seen it."
