Coronation Street's Abi Franklin’s nightmare is set to continue as she's involved in a horror accident tonight.
Soap fans were left heartbroken earlier this week when Abi disappeared from the hospital after giving birth to a surprise premature baby, despite being wholly unaware she was pregnant in the six months leading up to her labour.
The vulnerable character has turned to drugs again in recent scenes after her split from husband Kevin Webster, who learned of her recent affair, but is still in the dark that it was with Imran Habeeb.
The drama continues for Abi this evening, as she packs frantically, only for Tyrone to call her and say that if they don't retrieve the stolen car, the business is finished.
Abi then spots a BMW and a plan forms in her mind, resulting in her calling Dean.
In later scenes, Abi has a double-cross in mind when she meets Dean at his lock-up. While he inspects the BMW, Abi sneakily calls the police to report the original stolen car.
But when Dean overhears her call, it looks like a fragile and shaken Abi is in danger.
Having heard about the stolen car from Tyrone, a concerned Toyah calls Abi's phone, but when the call is answered, it isn’t Abi.
Toyah’s fears are realised as a paramedic answers the phone and explains that Abi has been involved in an accident.
Toyah rushes to the hospital, but what state will she find Abi in? Is this the end of her frightening downward spiral?
Elsewhere on the soap this evening, Laura announces that she intends to hire a private investigator to track down Rick, so she can get her hands on his money for Kelly.
In a bid to scupper her plan, Gary tells Laura that he will sort out an investigator - but when he meets up with Lenny, Gary explains he wants him to pretend to track down Rick, while in reality making no progress whatsoever.
Elsewhere, Nicky approaches Daisy and explains that she's looking for Daniel. Daisy's unnerved and lies to Nicky, making out Daniel has moved down south, before deleting a voicemail message on his phone from Nicky.
Also today, Michael asserts that Glory deserves to have her mum in her life and he intends to track Grace down and invite her to Glory's birthday party. As Michael scours the internet, Ed and Aggie realise all they can do is hope that Grace sticks to her side of the bargain and stays away.
