Coronation Street legend Andy Whyment is said to be heading back to the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here camp for an All Stars version of the ITV show.
The actor, who has played Kirk Sutherland on the ITV soap for decades, finished a close second in the Australian jungle in 2019.
Andy is now reportedly off to South Africa's Kruger National Park for the spin-off of the show, which will see former contestants of the show return to the jungle for another stint, which is set to air in 2023
An insider told The Sun : “Andy is hugely popular with audiences, who love his down-to-earth nature and sense of humour.
"He’s the perfect antidote to some of the divas and egos who are likely to be in the final line-up and producers are keen to strike the right balance.”
Andy bowled over viewers with his modesty on the show, even breaking down in tears when he made it through to the final two in 2019, to be beaten by Jacqueline Jossa, but outlasting huge names including Caitlyn Jenner.
An emotional Andy said: “It means so much to me that people are supporting me as Andy instead of just Kirk.”
He added: “I came in here with 55,000 followers, I think, on Twitter, Caitlyn Jenner has got 10million, so I can’t believe I beat her.”
Helen Flanagan is another star that looks set to wow fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here once more after she reportedly signed up to take part in the All Stars edition of the show.
The former Coronation Street actress stunned viewers during her previous stint on the hit ITV show in 2012.
The mother-of-three, who is engaged to footballer Scott Sinclair, finished seventh on the show ten years ago and was often voted by viewers to take part in Bushtucker Trials after acting squeamish.
A TV source told the Sun : "Helen is an absolute catch for ITV and they are thrilled she is finally on board.
"It has taken months of negotiations because it is a big decision to spend so long away from her young children but she has finally come around to the idea.
"She was brilliant telly back in 2012 and is bound to be just as entertaining this time around — especially if she gets voted into doing the trials again."
Helen is reported to be joined by fellow I'm A Celeb greats such as Carol Vorderman, Gillian McKeith, Georgia Toffolo and Dean Gaffney.
