Former Coronation Street actor Matthew Marsden has revealed he's become a dad again but for the seventh time in a touching social media post.
The actor played mechanic Chris Collins from 1995 until 1998, before leaving and exploring a pop career as well as acting in the US.
The star married wife Nadine Micallef in 2005, and now the pair have become parents again with their seventh child born on Friday (24 March).
Proud dad Matthew couldn't wait to share the news of his latest child as he shared an adorable first picture of his newborn with his followers on Instagram.
Sharing one snap of his tiny newborn asleep and swaddled in a blanket, Matthew wrote: "Hey world".
In another he was clearly gushing over his precious newborn as he wrote: "I mean, come on."
Fans have been quick to rush in and share congratulations for Matthew becoming a dad once again, as one fan wrote: "The best! Congratulations!"
Another added: "Congratulations to you and your wife and family. Gorgeous new addition."
"Yessssss. Do we have a football team yet? Beautiful," joked a third.
Another penned: "God bless you and your family. This is perfection."
Matthew was a firm favourite whilst he appeared in Coronation Street for three years until his departure in 1998. After leaving the ITV soap, he found fame with a singing career with Columbia Records and even performed alongside R&B legends Destiny's Child on their hit cover track She's Gone.
He also went on to feature in hit films including as Helen of Troy and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. Other film credits include Tamara, Resident Evil: Extinction, Rambo, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Atlas Shrugged.
The father-of-seven, who now lives with his growing brood and wife in Texas, and is still in the acting industry with a recent role in Prime Video's Reacher.
Whilst it might be some time before he's learning lines again as he adjusts to being a dad to seven children, Matthew will no doubt keep fans updated with his life in the US.
