When Coronation Street's Laura Neelan returned to the cobbles last month she dropped a bombshell that left her daughter devastated.
Laura, played by Kel Allen, told Kelly she was dying of cancer.
Kelly didn't believe her mum at first thanks to her track record but Gary Windass convinced Kelly to give Laura the benefit of the doubt.

Since then, the teenager has been burning herself out trying to look after her mum while juggling shifts at the barbers and going to school.
When Gary and Maria found out how much Kelly had taken on, thy offered to let her move into their flat.
Friday's instalment of Corrie saw Laura, along with Gary, meet a private investigator in the Bistro.
Laura said she wanted the PI to track down her ex Rick's money so that it could all go to Kelly.
As soap fans know, Gary killed loan shark Rick a few years ago - and he has confessed all to Maria.
He squirmed when the investigator asked if he had spoken to him, and if he has his number.
But it was Laura and the PI who had viewers talking.
Taking to Twitter, some fans thought they'd rumbled a "scheme" between the two.
Michelle W said: "Laura isn't dying and that PI is dodgy. Defo scheming together"
Westie28 said: "How can Laura even afford a PI?"
Doreen Morfitt said: "Laura is faking her illness"
Polly K said: "This chap with Laura looks familiar..."
