Coronation Street fans believe they have spotted clues that suggest that Tim Metcalfe and Aggie Bailey are having an affair.
During Wednesday night's episode, Aggie - played by Lorna Laidlaw - helped Tim when he hit a rough patch after thinking Peter Barlow had betrayed his confidence. Aggie is one of a select number of people to know about Tim's impotence and she encouraged the taxi driver to open up about his condition to his close friends.
However, when Dev Alahan tried to encourage the Rovers football team by "stiffening" up, Tim jumped to the wrong conclusion that Peter had betrayed him by telling Dev about his impotence.
He left in a fit of rage and decided to quit the team before he bumped into Aggie, who invited Tim to go back to her house and have a chat.
Tim eventually calmed down and even joked about his issues before Aggie was seen leaving as son Michael arrived with the horrific news that his brother James had collapsed due to a heart attack at the football match.
Tim - played by Joe Duttine - was not seen leaving Aggie's house after she raced to the hospital. The taxi driver then arrived at the hospital to speak to the nurse.
"I’m so sorry," he told Aggie. “I’m sorry that he was playing. If I’d have been he wouldn’t be, it was my fault, me and my stupid pride."

"You weren’t to know Tim,” Aggie insisted. "It’s my fault. I should’ve been there for my family."
The interaction at the hospital did spark theories online about their relationship.
One person wrote on Twitter : "Don’t tell me that Tim and Aggie are finally gonna get it on." Another one penned: "I can see an affair coming up between Aggie and Tim , just sayin'."
A third added: "Sort of here for Aggie and Tim don't tell anyone???"
However, plenty saw the innocent side of their platonic relationship although some did think that Aggie's actions in the scene were debatable.
A Twitter user said: "Hope not but why did Aggie look shifty when Ed asked her why didn't she answer the phone? Surely nothing happened between her and Tim other than them talking and in the kitchen as Aggie was doing the cake?"
Another posted: "Simple answer Aggie... I was in the kitchen baking a Cake, my phone was in the living room on vibrate.. Simple. Why the look of guilt? Nothing happened between you and Tim."
