Coronation Street fans were taken aback during Friday's first episode as Kevin Webster frantically searched through Abi's belongings.
Abi recently gave birth to a very premature baby boy, with viewers at first unsure who the father was. Later episodes revealed Imran Habeeb was baby Alfie's dad, after he had cheated on girlfriend Toyah with Abi.
Abi and Imran went to register the baby during Friday's instalment of the long-running ITV soap, with Abi under strict instructions to keep the birth certificate in a safe place. But when her ex Kevin called round, she left the room to make him a cup of tea.

Tipped off that Abi may be using again, once she was out of sight, Kevin began rifling through her things looking for a package. He finally found an envelope under the cushions on her sofa.
Inside was the birth certificate, with Imran's name on show. Abi returned to the living room to find Kevin had left.
Some viewers spotted an issue with Kevin's actions, though. Taking to Twitter, Val 6323 said: "As if Kevin would look in that envelope".
Laura Evans said: "There's no way that thin envelope could be a package of drugs. As if." McWhiskers said: "Nosy Kevin is very rude. It's none of his business now that he and Abi have split up", while Alan G added: "What is it with these soap characters opening other people's mail?"
