Coronation Street fans have been left screaming at their TVs after spotting an 'obvious' flaw in Carla's storyline.
The Underworld boss has been drugged by evil serial killer Stephen Reid in a bid to make it seem like her psychosis is back. He is hoping a lack of trust in Carla's fitness to run the company could see him take hold of the factory's reins.
However, as he drugged her again yesterday evening, angry fans of the ITV soap took to social media to vent their frustrations over the storyline, in particular how one 'obvious' element seemed to have been missed completely.
Taking to Twitter, fans questioned why Carla had not been offered a blood test.
One angry viewer penned: "Why aren’t the doctors using their brains and suggesting doing a blood tests on Carla #corrie," whilst a second took to social media to fume: "Why hasn’t Dr Gadass taken a blood test from Carla? #Corrie."
"Catching up on #Corrie. No blood test when Carla went to see the Doctor? #Corrie," a third added, with a fourth writing: "Carla storyline is ridiculous. Blood tests would have been done by now."
A fifth was confused by the medical side of it, insisting it should be mandatory.
" #Corrie So.. Did Carla have a kidney transplant? Do transplant recipients have to take anti rejection drugs? Stephen is plying her with LSD?? Her GP prescribed Diazepam without routine blood test.. How would Carla react to all this? Make it make sense," they puzzled.
Others urged Peter or someone close to Carla to suggest a blood test.
"If only Peter would take Carla to the hospital or back to see the doctor & get a blood test done! #Corrie," they wrote, as another shared: " #Corrie so not one person, including a doctor, has suggested that Carla gets a blood test?!?! even just for bants."
One said it meant they couldn't take the storyline seriously, sharing: "Can't take the LSD storyline seriously when the writers ignore any sort of blood test for Carla. Gaping plot holes like that are amateur #Corrie."
"Why has no one noticed that Carla only struggles after a brew? And why hasn't Dr. Gaddas done routine blood tests?," another added.
Stephen has caused quite the stir since he arrived on the Cobbles. He has already murdered two people - father and son Teddy and Leo Thompkins - and it looks like there are more on his hit list if he doesn't get caught in time.
