Coronation Street fans are set for a festive treat this year with the news that Weatherfield favourite Tyrone Dobbs is planning a Christmas Day wedding to his long term partner Fiz Brown.
Tyrone, who has been played by 40-year old Alan Halsall since the character arrived on the cobbles in 1998, will do his level best to keep the big day a surprise, according to a Street source.
But the garage boss' plans could be scuppered when Fiz (Jenny McAlpine, 38) vanishes without a trace.
"Tyrone manages to keep it such a secret furious Fiz thinks he has made no Christmas plans," the source told the Sun.
"She sets off on Christmas Day to try and get stuff for dinner but her car breaks down and she has no phone signal.
"Meanwhile, back in Weatherfield, everyone is ready for the wedding. The big question is, ‘Will they, won’t they?'"
The episode will also see Daniel Osbourne ( Rob Mallard ) propose to barmaid Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
In the meantime on the Street, there's a horror kidnap plot in store for viewers, which exposes a possible criminal next week.
And with Bernie still desperate to clear her name over the jewellery store robbery, she thinks she's finally trapped the real thief, Fern.
But as she lures Fern into a meeting, Bernie is horrified and left in danger when someone jumps out of a van and throws a bag over her head, before bundling her in.
Elsewhere, the soap's radicalisation plot continues with teen Max Turner, and dad David Platt is desperate for him to stay away from new friend Griff.
Griff and his pals have been encouraging Max to adopt hateful and racist views, with Griff's young daughter Lauren also having Max under her spell.
But Griff's attempts to get the whole street to back his opinions falls flat, when he's called out - and soon Alya Nazir is keeping an eye on him, and she isn't alone.
