Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank has revealed why he could never join I'm A Celebrity.
The soap star is renowned for his role as Billy Mayhew in the ITV show. The 42-year-old spoke to the ECHO earlier this week at the grand unveiling of the new Weatherfield Precinct set.
Daniel is close friends with his Cobbles co-stars away from the screen and he issued his verdict on Sue Cleaver's recent stint in the Australian jungle. He said: "I've been camping with Sue in real life several times. It was great so I'm sure we'll have a drink and a debrief now she's home. She did very well."

Sue was the third campmate to be eliminated from this season of TV's toughest entertainment challenge - and Daniel is adamant the Eileen Grimshaw star won't be able to convince him to follow in her footsteps. However, the actor joked it isn't the creepy crawlies or the gruelling challenges that put him off the ITV show, but rather his "inability to shut up".
He added: "There is very little that goes on in here that doesn't fall out of here [his mouth] and I feel that I would shoot myself in the foot. Me being filmed 24/7 is not a good idea."
Daniel hilariously explained why he also isn't interested in signing up for other ITV reality shows like Dancing On Ice. He said: "I can't dance on the floor, let alone ice. I would be the really s**t one they kept in."
The soap star remains one of the key characters on Weatherfield and is often trusted to handle the programme's most sensitive subjects. His portrayal of the vicar has won acclaim since he first joined the cast in 2014 and he explained the show's willingness to address any topic is why he is happier than ever on the Cobbles.
He said: "I love working here. The brilliant thing about Corrie from an acting perspective is you have the opportunity to play the comedy and drama. With Billy being a vicar that enables him to be part of the more sensitive storylines and community based storylines because his job is pastoral."
Daniel was living in London at the time he was offered the role on Corrie and wanted time to consider the decision. He said: "I was out for lunch with my mum and my grandmother and I spoke with my agent. I said, 'look, I'll think about it and call you back."
However, Daniel's mum is a huge Corrie fan and he was in hysterics as he recalled how she stepped in to change his mind. He said: "I told her its a three year contract and I'd probably have to move. She went 'I don't care, you're taking it. You have to take it. I'm not leaving this table until you phone him now'.
"I'm very glad she did because I'm in my ninth year and it's without a doubt one of the best places I've worked in my 30 year career. I adore this place."
