Katy Perry wowed the crowd and the members of the royal family with her amazing performance at the Coronation Concert. The pop star wore a regal gold princess dress as she performed on the stage to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The American singer performed alongside the likes of Take That ,Lionel Richie, Olly Murs and Nicole Scherzinger at the special concert on Sunday evening to mark the coronation of King Charles. Around 20,000 people packed the grounds of Windsor Castle for the historic event on Sunday evening (May 7).
Some viewers were impressed by Katy's outfit for her performance, as some joked that her golden dress looked like a ‘Quality Street’ and that she looked like the Toffee Penny chocolate wrapper. For the young royals, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Katy stole the show as they were both spotted singing along to her hit song Roar.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Katy then performed another hit song, Firework, and fans were full of praise for the amazing performance. @jonnymuzze said: "Katy Perry has been by far the best performer tonight!"

However, some fans joked that Katy forgot to perform one particular song. @graylingn16 joked: "Katy Perry…Great. Is she doing JustEat. I like that one." And @st_ua_rt asked about the face of the food delivery giant Just Eat: "Roar is a tune and all that but when is Katy Perry going to do the Just Eat song."
Another fan @chiwithaC was also missing Katy's catchy Just Eat jingle. "Why isn’t katy perry singing did somebody say just eat?" they asked. And @FAShillcock said: "Personally I’m disappointed that Katy Perry didn’t sing the song which, for me, is her best: Did Somebody Say (Just Eat)."
Also on the line-up for Sunday night's event was Paloma Faith, Andrea Bocelli and Sir Bryn Terfel, Pete Tong, Nicole Scherzinger, Steve Winwood, Lang Lang, Chinese pianist, Tiwa Savage, winner of MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act, Lucy, winner of Channel 4's The Piano, The Coronation Choir and the Virtual Choir The Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal College of Music and the Royal College of Art and a 74-piece classical ensemble.
Nottingham singer Jerub also featured as he took to the stage with Peter Tong.
The King and Queen Camilla enjoyed the concert along with the members of the royal family after the coronation on May 6. The celebration will continue today, May 8, with lunch celebrations across the country and a walkabout by the Prince and Princess of Wales Prince William and Kate Middleton.
