A West Country paranormal enthusiast has learned Cornish in order to communicate with the deceased and now has some advice for others on how to communicate with the dead. Part of 57-year-old Karin Beasant's approach is to dress in period costume and she encourages other investigators to be "respectful" and "sceptical".
The office manager from Bristol became fascinated with the paranormal as a child after watching Hammer horror films. After experiencing a ghostly housemate at a pub she bought in 1995, the paranormal enthusiast was hooked and described the experience of investigating as a “high”.
She is now a respected paranormal investigator and lives with her her husband, Wayne Beasant, 52, a scaffolder, and son Alex Beasant, 25, a retail worker. She has advised on haunted heritage sites for Visit Somerset as well as becoming a regular investigator at the Jamaica Inn, Cornwall.
