Newly reported text messages, purportedly between Jane Doe and former Cornell University student Matthew Ingalls, were published by TMZ on 9 October 2026. The reported exchanges, which TMZ attributes to Doe and Ingalls, appear to show Doe expressing distress about campus rumours following an October 2024 gathering involving Chi Phi fraternity members and attempting to identify who might have shared details of the encounter.

For context, the reported messages were exchanged before Doe's allegations led to a civil lawsuit against multiple fraternity members and Cornell University. The messages provide insight into her communications with Ingalls but do not, on their own, establish whether sexual activity was consensual or determine criminal responsibility.
