In a Championship seemingly devoid of major upsets, Cork stunned Mayo last weekend to earn a home preliminary quarter-final meeting with Roscommon.
The Rebels seemed destined to be on the road this weekend as long as Louth didn’t cause an even bigger shock against Kerry.
However, John Cleary’s side took care of business themselves with a brilliant three-point win over Mayo in the Gaelic Grounds.
Roscommon, meanwhile, slipped to third in Group Three after losing to Kildare and Davy Burke’s side need to quickly rediscover their early-season form.
