If you are already familiar with the science behind pressing the open button on the key fob for your car - then you are most certainly in a small percentage of people.
One Cork man who has just unlocked one of the great secrets of the universe showed everybody who was on a steep learning curve exactly what happens from a science and engineering perspective when they go to unlock their vehicle, Cork Beo reports.
Damien Sreenan, who is employed at Cork radio stations 96Fm and C103, has been shocking people with a tweet demonstrating what happens when you press down on the the 'lock' or 'open' buttons on normal key cars.

Posting to Twitter, Damien said: "Okay okay, make sure you're sitting down when you watch this. I was today years old when I found out this little trick..."
The video shows Damien with a key fob to his car, demonstrating a little trick that not many people are aware of - a little trick which is more akin to a suave low key James Bond moment.
In the video, Damien holds the open button down on his fob, which causes all of the windows to open up fully, adding: "I don't know what this will do for you in your life."
He also holds the lock button down which causes all four windows to close, which he said is a good security measure.
We checked - and it seems that this is a very common feature across a range of cars, and one that you can use to show off to your friends and family. Or to simply allow some air into the car on a very hot and muggy day at the beach. The possibilities are endless.
