Cork City have signed Lithuanian midfielder Rokas Stanulevičius.
The 28-year-old operates in central midfield and joins the Leesiders after a brief spell in Romania.
Before that, he played the majority of his football in Lithuania and also had a stint in Israel.
Rebels sporting director - and interim manager - Liam Buckley said: “I’m delighted to get Rokas on board - I think he’ll be a very good addition to our squad.
“He’s a good passer of the ball, he can get around the pitch well and links the play, so I think he can help us improve.
“He has a good range of passing and he is also an experienced player, so I’m pleased to add him to the squad.”
Stanulevičius - who won four Lithuanian U21 caps - admits he knew very little about Cork City before joining - apart from one blast from the past.
He said: “I heard the club played in the Europa League against Ekranas from Lithuania in 2005. I was there in the youth academy of Ekranas, and was at the game.
“I hope the fans will see more long shots, passes and stability from the middle.”
