The Atlanta Falcons have named running back Cordarrelle Patterson their game-day captain for Sunday’s NFC South matchup against the Carolina Panthers, per team reporter Terrin Wacck.
While Patterson has served more of a special teams role this season, he has carried the ball 33 times for a total of 137 rushing yards.

Atlanta currently has five season-long captains: safety Jessie Bates, defensive lineman Grady Jarrett, offensive tackle Jake Matthews, guard Chris Lindstrom and kicker Younghoe Koo.
