Cops suspended after star Pakistan cricketer says they threatened, asked for bribe

NEW DELHI: In an unusual turn of events, four Pakistan police officers were charged with corruption hours after top Pakistan cricketer Sohaib Maqsood complained of being shaken down for bribes during a recent road trip.

In a social media post, Maqsood hit out at Sindh police, saying that on his way from Karachi to Multan he was stopped while driving and asked for bribes.
