Cops rush to Falkirk area high school after reports of 'disturbance'

Police descended on a Falkirk high school with officers spotted running in to the building.

They were called to reports of a "disturbance" at Bo'ness Academy shortly after 11:30am yesterday morning, Thursday March 24.

Pictures sent to Falkirk Live show three cop vans and two cars parked up outside with a number of officers standing in the school ground.

Police Scotland say they're unable to give details about what happened, but added that no criminality was established.

It's understood that parents have yet to be made aware of the matter.

One said: "I am absolutely raging about this. The only reason I know is because my child phoned and told me. I spoke to the head teacher today and made it clear how I feel.

"We should have been told about this when it happened."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Gauze Road in Bo'Ness around 11.25am on Thursday 24 March 2022 to a report of a disturbance.

"No criminality was established."

A Falkirk Council spokesperson said: "Police officers were called out to one of our schools yesterday following a disturbance involving pupils.

"We’d like to reassure parents/carers that there was no danger to anyone in the school at any time."
