Police Scotland are investigating the 'unexplained' death of a man found on the Isle of Seil. Officers were called to Clachan Seil at around 11.10am on Sunday, October 2.
A 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are believed to have closed the nearby road for hours to allow them to conduct enquiries into the death.
The Isle of Seil sits around 17 miles from Oban. The island, which is in the Inner Hebrides, has a population of around 500 people.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.10am on Sunday, October 2, police were called to Clachan Seil.
"Officers attended and a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death which is currently being treated as unexplained."
